Listening carefully: the Salon Son et Image

CD players may be as difficult to come by as VCR players according to the experts at the Salon Son et Image in Montreal.

The Salon has seen a lot of change in its 25-year history: from record players to digital sound systems, and TV sets to home cinemas. Now it also offers workshops to the public to help them figure it all out!  The Salon is also launching Classic Album Sundays, a public event that involves listening to a whole album, from beginning to end on a high-end system.

Michel Plante has been involved in the Salon for most of its 25 years and he spoke with Sonali Karnick about the event.
