Where's the beef? In Abitibi!

steak.jpgWhen you think of the economy in the Abitibi-Temiscamingue region you probably think of mining and forestry. But agriculture is also an important part of the economy there.  Most of our  Quebec beef comes from that region. A group of researchers have been working on a project to market locally raised beef from cows that are only fed milk and grass. The project is still developing but it's starting to appear in a few specialty stores, and restaurants. The CBC's Marika Wheeler spoke with Sonali Karnick about the growing beef market in the region.
