La Fête de la Gastronomie Française
On Friday, September 23, Quebec celebrates French cuisine in seven Relais et Chateaux restaurants around the province - Montreal, Quebec City, North Hatley, La Malbaie and Ste-Adèle. This will be the first edition of an annual feast - la Fête de la gastronomie française. Similar events will be taking place at the same time in France.
The spark for this celebration comes from the recent UNESCO decision to put traditional French gastonomy on its list of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
