Political Panel, April 26: More on those root causes

First, the Conservatives released a series of attack ads, to warn Canadians that Justin Trudeau is in over his head. Then this week, the Liberals riffed on those ads, with their response -- the ad features the new Liberal leader sitting on a school desk, shutting off a TV that's playing a Conservative ad attacking him. The Conservatives are also sending out flyers featuring the same message this week.

Political Panel, April 19: Trudeau's first week

Justin Trudeau's got a week under his belt as leader of the Liberal party, and -- as could have been predicted -- it had its ups and downs. The Conservative Party wasted no time in running an attack ad, which shows Trudeau performing a striptease at a cancer fundraiser. Liberals brushed the attack off, calling it "bullying"...But comments to Peter Mansbridge following the Boston Marathon bombings have since provided more fodder for Trudeau's critics, when he said that we should be examining the root causes of terror. The Prime Minister slammed that idea  as being soft on terror.

But is all this enough to derail the Trudeau train so soon? Our political panel -- CBC TV's Julie van Dusen and Canadian Press' Rob Russo -- is here with their take...
