D is for Dinner: Shaoxing Braised Pork Gua-Bao

IMG_20140818_181334.jpg
Chef Tarek Hassan dropped by our studio with these beauties after the lunch rush at his Gongfu bao food cart. He's serving up these steamed pork buns this weekend at the Arboretum Music Festival, and he shared a recipe for the filling. You can pair it with the gua-bao buns available at Asian supermarkets (just heat them up in a bamboo steamer), or enjoy it on rice or noodles.

You can usually find the Gongfu bao food cart at Elgin and Slater from noon to three Wednesday through Friday, and follow its travels on Twitter @gongfubao.

Listen here to Stu's conversation with Tarek.
