D is for Dinner: A little Schubert with that salmon
![]()
A special event on July 13th lets you listen to your music...and eat it too.
Well, not quite, but the Music & Dining event (part of the Music & Beyond festival) is combining a live concert with dishes paired with and inspired by the music. So you'll see a crispy phyllo pastry, filled with brie cheese, floating in a strawberry rhubarb soup -- a "quick", light amuse-bouche devised by Richard Nigro to go with Beethoven's "Before I Go to Work." You'll also see dishes created by chefs Patrick Garland and Chris Tremblay, and music from everyone by Schubert to local composer Jan Jarvlepp. Richard and Music & Beyond's Julian Armour joined us for a preview.
