D is for Dinner: Maple-Inspired Soup

The sun is shining and the sap is flowing -- well, it was until it got cold this week, anyway. But in any case, maple syrup season is definitely here. And the golden treat isn't just being poured onto morning pancakes.

At Richelieu Park's sugar shack in Vanier, they're sneaking it into every course. As part of their Maple Sugar Fest, the shack held a Soup-Splash on Wednesday. It's a competition to find the best maple-inspired soup in the city.

Martin Leury is the new chef in residence at the Richelieu Park Sugar Bush. He brought some of his delicious soup into the studio before the Sugar Fest got under way.
