Let kids eat cake?

bday cake.jpgNew Ottawa Public Health nutrition guidelines suggest that daycares find other ways of celebrating kids' birthdays besides a sugary cake. But that doesn't sit well with one day care worker who thinks an occasional treat like cake is actually a good teaching moment for her little charges. Michelle Dewar from Carleton Memorial Day Care, and Sherry Nigro from Ottawa Public Health, joined us for the debate.
