Distracted driving penalties

Fines are going up for distracted driving on Tuesday. And if Ontario's minister of transportation has his way, the penalties will get even stiffer. He's tabled legislation that would allow fines as high as a thousand dollars, and demerit points for those convicted of distracted driving offences. Alan spoke with Sgt. Mark Gatien of the Ottawa Police's traffic enforcement division about what he thinks of the proposed new penalties, and his own encounters with texting drivers.
