How much should an employer accommodate a medical marijuana user?
An RCMP officer in New Brunswick is on desk duty right now. Cpl. Ron Francis has a prescription for medical marijuana, and his employer says he can't smoke while in uniform, in public. In fact, the RCMP has reportedly taken his uniform away.
The issue has many people wondering how work places accommodate employees who use medical marijuana. Eugene Oscapella is an Ottawa lawyer who teaches courses on drug policy at the University of Ottawa, and he joined us with his perspective.
