A tribute to Michael Bleakney

bleakney.jpgWhen Ar n'Oran takes to the stage at the annual Scotland Tonight concert this weekend, a voice will be missing.

Michael Bleakney was a member of the choir, and he was one of six people killed two months ago in the collision between an OC Transpo bus and a VIA rail train. And tomorrow, Ar n-Oran, including Bleakney's wife and daughter, will pay tribute to him.

Beth Bisaillion is the pipe major for the Sons of Scotland Pipe Band and the concert organizer, and Randy Waugh is the leader of the Ar n-Oran Gaelic Choir. Both joined us with memories of their friend.
