Weighing the risks of oral contraceptives
CBC News has obtained Health Canada documents that show at least 23 Canadian women have died while taking Yaz and Yasmin, two of the world's most commonly prescribed birth control pills. A judge recently gave the go-ahead to a class action lawsuit against Bayer, the maker of the pills. (That doesn't mean there's been a finding of fault -- only that the case may proceed.)
