Reflecting on 10 years of same-sex marriage
Tracy Braun and Renée Sauvé are the first same-sex couple to marry in the City of Ottawa. They tied the knot almost exactly 10 years ago: June 11th, 2003. The day before that, a landmark decision was made at the Ontario Court of Appeal to revisit the definition of marriage to include gays and lesbians. It legally recognized same-sex marriage in the province, and many other provinces quickly followed suit. Tracy and Renée joined us to reflect back on the past decade of marriage.
