Edward Burtynsky on oil
For a dozen years, photographer Edward Burtynsky immersed himself in oil. With his camera, he documented how we produce, distribute and use the energy source. The oil-fueled adventure led him everywhere from oil sands to a trucker's jamboree to a ship-breaking operation.
This week, Burtynsky parks his oily collection of large-format photography at the Canadian Museum of Nature. Edward Burtynsky's Oil opens on Friday, and runs until September, and the photographer joined us in studio with a preview.
