A story of brain injury recovery
This month was a difficult one for rugby players and coaches in Ottawa. Their community lost Rowan Stringer, a high school team captain who died at 17 after suffering a head injury during a game. And through the CBC's discussions with rugby coaches about safety and head injuries in the days afterward, we came across a remarkable story. A coach at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School in Russell introduced us to a student named Justin McKenna, whose own brain injury survival is turning into a source of inspiration at his former school. All in a Day's Susan Burgess visited the school and brought us back Justin's story.
