Remembering Chopper McKinnon

chopper.jpgChopper McKinnon, until now, was the familiar voice behind Canadian Spaces on CKCU -- the country's longest-running folk and roots music program. McKinnon was behind the microphone for 33 years. He also worked on All in a Day for many years.

Yesterday, McKinnon passed away of natural causes. A friend found him at his home earlier today. And this afternoon, those who knew Chopper migrated to Irene's Pub -- his favourite hang-out. Lynn Miles and Arthur McGregor were friends of Chopper, and they joined us with some memories.
