MPPs on McGuinty's resignation
Democracy is a messy business. But yesterday, Premier Dalton McGuinty suggested things at Queen's Park had gotten too messy for the public good...and the province's finances.
His solution? It's two-fold. First, resign as leader - a surprise announcement he made last night. And second, prorogue the legislature - in order to negotiate in private with labour unions and the opposition.
But so far, the opposition parties aren't too keen on that plan. Steve Clark is the Progressive Conservative MPP for Leeds-Grenville, and Peter Tabuns is the NDP MPP for Toronto Danforth, and they joined us with their opinions.
