An anthology of horror

horror.jpgEvery university professor can say "Today's class was a horror", we suppose. They might be referring to picky students, terrible essays, overcrowded classes...

But when Aalya Ahmed at Carleton University and Sean Moreland at University of Ottawa want horror in their classroom, they mean they want horror of the creepy-story kind.

Ahmed and Moreland have edited Postscript to Darkness. It's an anthology of writers who embrace the darkest side, sending shivers up spines with decidedly eerie tales. That book gets released this weekend at Ottawa's Can Con: the Conference on Canadian Content in Speculative Arts and Literature, and they will also be participating in a panel of authors called "What Works Of Horror Scare The (Bleep) Out Of You?"

But by day, both Sean and Aalya teach horror literature at their respective universities. Sean teaches Fiction of Horror at University of Ottawa. Aalya teaches Monsters and Monstrosity at Carleton University, and they both joined us in studio.
