Where skateboarders and the city meet
Visitors to the Gloucester skatepark will tell you the place isn't much to write home about. So when skateboarders added a quarterpipe and some concrete obstacles, they thought they were doing everyone a favour. But the city didn't see it that way and had the additions removed.
It was a disappointment for Aaron Cayer -- he's with the Ottawa Skateboard Community Association, and he isn't impressed with the options for skaters in town. So Aaron and city councillor Jan Harder are trying to work out some options that agree with both sides, and they joined us on the show to share their thoughts.
