Linden MacIntyre, on Why Men Lie

Effie wants to trust JC, but she can't help believing he's keeping something from her.

They are the two central characters of Linden MacIntyre's new novel Why Men Lie. And in it, Effie, who has been betrayed and lied to by many men in her life, tries to trust the aging reporter JC, who is often leaving their relationship to go to a man who's on death row in Texas.

Alan talked to Linden about the complex relationships that are everywhere in Why Men Lie, and about all those who lie and tell the truth.
