She's the best rhythmic gymnast in Canada. So why isn't Mariam going to the Olympics?

mariam.jpgCanada's national team of rhythmic gymnasts are perfecting their routine for the London Olympics this summer, with a performance is set to tango music, whirling ribbons and flying hoops.

But as it currently stands, their team's best gymnast won't be on the floor competing.

Local rhythmic gymnast Mariam Chamilova is first-ranked in the country. She planned to compete individually, but didn't qualify. And as a back-up plan, she hoped to make the group category...but the qualifier was cancelled. Mariam joined us to explain how that has dashed her hopes of going to the Games.
