Reaction to cyclist hit-and-run sentencing

Cathy Anderson and four friends were cycling in Kanata on a July morning two-and-a-half years ago, when they were struck from behind by a minivan.

Four of the five cyclists were seriously hurt, including Cathy's partner Robert Wein.

Today the driver of that vehicle, Sommit Luangpakham, was found guilty of five counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm, and five counts of leaving the scene of an accident. He was sentenced to serve two years less a day.

For reaction, we reached Cathy Anderson at her home.
