Elephant toothpaste and other science adventures
See those kids and a pile of goop? That's a group of Aboriginal students from a program run by Minwaashin Lodge, in a chemistry lab at the University of Ottawa, and they're working with a mysterious substance known as "elephant toothpaste."
The students are attending the Adventures in Science and Engineering camp run by ACTUA, and this week's session is all about encouraging Aboriginal, Inuit and Metis students to consider science and engineer as possible career paths. Alan visited the camp this morning.
