Ottawa director casts his pooch in First Dog

 

 

It's not often that writer/director Bryan Michael Stoller gets to tell a lead actor to sit, stay or roll-over. But the co-star of his new film First Dog happens to be his canine Little Bear.

Little Bear once called Ronald Reagan his master, and that's what inspired Stoller to write the screenplay.

The duo have returned to Ottawa for the Canadian theatrical premiere of First Dog. They'll both be at the Cineplex Coliseum on Carling Avenue on Wed, Aug 17 at 7 p.m. and on Sat. Aug 20 at 10 a.m.
