Loving Luca Live fundraiser

It was a Sunday evening back in January. The Ruggiero family was driving home to Kanata after having dinner at their relatives. Dad Jimmy was behind the wheel. And pregnant mom Katy, in the passenger seat. And in the back, two-year-old Luca, was snuggled into a car seat. 

At the corner of Carp and Richardson Side Roads, their lives took a dramatic turn. An SUV T-boned their sedan. And little Luca bore the brunt of the impact. 

He was airlifted to CHEO. And hasn't left the hospital since. 
 

Tonight in Stittsville, there's a fundraiser for Luca and his family. It's at Sacred Heart High School, which is where dad works as a educational assistant for students with special needs.
