Dutch MP Geert Wilders stops in Ottawa

He was once banned from Britian. Dutch MP Geert Wilders is known around the world for his anti-Islamic beliefs. The leader of Netherlands Party for Freedom has called for his country to block immigrants from Muslim countries and believes the Qu'ran should also been banned. He has even compared the Muslim holy book to Hitlers Mein Kampf.

On Tuesday, Geert Wilders discussed those views on the stage of the National Arts Centre tonight in front of an invite-only audience. It was part of a cross-Canada speaking tour. Fred Litwin is the President and Founder of the Free Thinking Film Society of Ottawa. He helped organize the event. Alan spoke with Litwin about why they extended the invitiation to Wilders.
