Ugandan farm radio, by a reluctant farm expert...

Twice a week, Grace Amito sits behind the microphone at Mega FM in Gulu, Uganda and talks to farmers.Grace is the host of the radio show Farmers and Animal World. But before she took over the microphone in 2004, she was no farmer. She'd never lived on a farm. She'd never even planted a crop. But it's a role she's embraced since then.

The Ugandan journalist's work won her Farm International's 2010 George Atkins Communications Award. Grace visited Ottawa last week, and joined us in the studio.
