Class of 2011: Some been-there, done-that advice
Arriving at your new dorm room can be very exciting, and a little bit scary. Not only are many students living away from home for the first time, but they're also entering a new phase of their education. And getting good grades in university isn't quite the same as in high school.
We've been speaking with students about how well high school prepares them for life after graduation -- it's part of our series "Class of 2011: Ready or Not?" And many of the students we've spoken to had questions about the transition to university life.
So we've rounded up some experts to help answer those questions. Kendra Young is a first year biology student at Carleton University, and Harrison Lowe is a first year student majoring in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa. Both joined us on the show to dish on that difficult transition period.
