The Aylmer man who got close to Oscar

OK, so he didn't win. But it was still pretty cool that the Aylmer-born-and-raised, L.A.-based animator Dean DeBlois was up for an Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film this past weekend -- the film in question being the well-reviewed How to Train Your Dragon.

On Friday, as the buzz over the impending Academy Awards began to build, we reached Dean in L.A. -- and his very proud mom, too.
