Green Growth -- Possible, or an Oxymoron?
We've often heard environmentalists and economists arguing the same thing -- that you can make money without hurting the planet. But how exactly do you "grow green"? And is there a limit to that growth?
That's the subject of a debate, held on Thursday and to air on CBC's Ideas on February 2nd. Tim Jackson is one of the speakers -- he's an economics commissioner with the UK Sustainable Development Commission, and also the author of a book called "Prosperity without Growth - Economics for a Finite Planet." He joined us on the show to give us a preview of his views on green growth, and how -- according to him -- we've been getting it all wrong.
