I do not casting my vote for Ed Stelmach. Although I think he is a good guy, he is not the Premier this province needs. That being said, I will not vote for Bal Boora or James Moore or Matthew Fox or Brennan Tilley. I cannot in good conscience cast a vote that would support Kevin Taft, as I believe he needs to step down as leader of the Alberta Liberals. Same goes for James Moore on behalf of Brian Mason. Either choice would hinder Alberta way more than a vote for Ed Stelmach and both of these parties are in dire need of new leadership. When I go to the polls later today, my vote is for Greg Weadick. He was an effective city alderman; as was his wife, and he has charisma. Greg Weadick will receive my vote because I know I can trust him to fight for issues pertaining to Lethbridge. Some here have commented on the lack of support Lethbridge has received from the province in the past and I believe that Greg Weadick can turn that around.

Recently I heard this saying, it goes something like this...."governments are like underwear....you have to change them once in a while or they start to stink"...and in Alberta the PC's really stink on a lot of issues....unrestrained oil & gas development, and poor environmental regulations are a few issues that come to mine. Let's clean this stink out.

Having a PC Cabinet Minister didn't seem to help when it came to funding for the new west side High School - it wasn't until the election was called did the Premier announce full funding. My vote is for Bal and the Liberals.

If there's one thing I know, it's that I am not voting PC. Ed Stelmach cares not one bit for Lethbridge and Southern Alberta. All his promises are for Calgary and Edmonton. At least Kevin Taft has made concrete promises for Lethbridge and Paul Hinman made several references to Southern Alberta during the debate. I think for me it's going to be either the Liberals or the Alliance.

I think everyone should stop for a moment and ask themselves what has the provincial government done to improve their lives? In Lethbridge we have 40 000 more people and one less hospital. Housing prices are out of control. University and college tuition goes up dramatically every year. We live in a resource rich province where the citizens get rewarded only by paying more for everything while getting our services cut.

It's time for a change. People don't live in the same house as long as the Tories have been in power. It's healthy for society to change their leadership every so often.
Lethbridge East has been well served for many years by having a Liberal representative. Even though we don't have an incumbent running in Lethbridge West we should send a message that the status quo won't be accepted and that the environment and democracy are important.

Way to go Bal! It's way past time for a change of government in Alberta. We need to clean house and rebalance in so many ways. We need to help the little guy up, they have been beaten down for far too long. Our one party state has created a worrisome situation here creating a bigger gap between rich and poor as well as squandering our's and our children's inheritance with their approach. We need more responsive and responsible government, we need change. best wishes.

It's high time that Albertans stopped assuming the Conservatives are going to win and got out in numbers to vote. If every student 18 years and older bothered to vote, we'd have seen a very different picture in the Legislature these past few elections.
I hope this time enough people recognize that the Conservatives won't be doing anything about the environment or the ridiculous cost of living, and vote for change.
Whether that ends up being Liberal or NDP, I'm not sure I really care.

As a life-long Conservative I'm very disappointed in the way my party has handled the economy, the infrastructure, the royalty regime, health care, education and - yes - even the environment over the last decade.
I didn't vote last time because there was little choice. I may not agree 100% with Mr. Taft but I'm voting Liberal this time. As Peter Lougheed says, 36 years is a long time for one party to be in power. The only way the PCs will learn is if we sit them in opposition for a term!
Political observers in Alberta are calling it remarkable and opposition politicians are wondering what hit them after Ed Stelmach guided his Conservative party Monday to one of its biggest majorities ever.
As Premier Ed Stelmach and Alberta Conservatives savour their sweeping election victory, some people are raising a nagging concern: why so few people bothered to vote.
Voters in Alberta stuck with tried-and-true blue, giving the Progressive Conservative party an unprecedented 11th consecutive majority government in Monday's provincial election.
