To concerned citizen: Get a grip your PC candidate LOST by 100 votes, now you cry foul. Last time he won by a few hundered votes you didn't cry foul then. Please accept DEFEAT. Shiraz Sharif was becoming increasingly arrogant and unapproachable plus the PC's have done little for the infrastructure deficit, higher education and wait times in Emergency rooms, the three top concerns in this riding. Many voters were complaining how they had to send their kids to Ontario or Manitoba because there aren't enough spaces for students that do better than last years cut-off %. A strong oppostition will hold the government's feet to fire and they won't be able to do whatever they want for the fear of losing more solid tory ridings like this one Calgary-Buffalo and Calgary Elbow(which they lost in the byelection but won this time by a squeaker....just 400 votes)

Concerned Resident (Martindale_) wrote:

I worked as scrutineer and I can tell you for a fact that some residents cheated when they voted and shame on Elections Alberta for not putting in more strident rules in place. The new MLA will have his work cut out for him as he will not be able to get anything done for Calgary McCall as his party is the minority government. Too bad not all Calgary McCall voters, voted. You wanted change, now you live with it!! Mr. Kang does not even live in the constituency.

Before putting our vote in we should decide who we are voting for?
Who is Darshan Kang, where has he been and what has he done as a community member, and not just in his own sikh community, what i hear nothing really, is he approachable and friendly?, no i found not, is his promises just empty will he back you up as the working class, does he have the energy approaching retirement age. WE NEED YOUNGER BLOOD, WE NEED A MAN WITH CONCERNS FOR THE AVERAGE JOE,
WE NEED ndp!!!

Roxanne and Rick I think you are both bang on and Darshan has my vote for sure! If we all remember last election he came within 200 votes of de-throning Shiraz Shariff. I personally voted for the NDP last time but I will be switching my vote and I hope other NDP and Green supporters will do the same for this provincial election! Time to change is now, good luck Darshan Kang!

Rick Ruston (Martindale) wrote:

I agree with Roxanne, how can any party that has been in power for 37 years use the word change. In Calgary McCall I will be voting for Darshan Kang

Roxanne Cooze (Taradale_Calgary) wrote:

I find it interesting that the PC party has been using the slogan vote for a change when clearly voting for the PC's is not change and it is almost as if they are telling us to vote for the liberals. Eddie, Ralphy...what's the difference? In my opinion if we really want change then Calgary McCall should be voting for Darshan Kang of the liberal party. Thats where my vote is going as well as my entire family. So all the best to the Liberal party!
