You wouldn't even know there is an election going on in my riding. I have seen a few Arthur Kent signs around but not a one for any of the other candidates. Not a one. I haven't had my door knocked on, there are no forums or debates going on. I have not received anything in the mail other than a large broadsheet brochure on shiny paper from Ed Stelmach sent through the annoying Canada Post junk mail service. So much for the environment Mr. Ed. I had so much trouble finding what riding I was actually in I almost gave up.

I agree Linda, it's unfortunate that Calgary Currie couldn't have an event like the one held last night in Calgary Bow. I've heard it was an incredible debate, and extremely well attended. However, as a staunch Dave Taylor supporter, I would encourage you to contact his campaign office with your question about "two things most like to change". Someone there will definitely be glad to talk with you and will provide an answer from Dave Taylor.
I'm noticing a lot of Arthur Kent signs around the neighbourhood; I'm really hoping voters don't let the Conservatives buy their vote with this "Hollywood" candidate who most definitely does not have the ear of his leader.

It is very disappointing, but perhaps indicative of the state of democracy in this province when there is absolutely no public debate scheduled between two high-profile (former journalist) candidates like Dave Taylor(Lib) and Arthur Kent(PC)in the riding of Calgary Currie. Both of these candidates (and probably the others too) have indicated that they want to change the status quo (Kent from inside the PC party and Taylor as a member of the opposition, or changing the government). I would like to know what two things they would most like to change and how they would do that.
Political observers in Alberta are calling it remarkable and opposition politicians are wondering what hit them after Ed Stelmach guided his Conservative party Monday to one of its biggest majorities ever.
As Premier Ed Stelmach and Alberta Conservatives savour their sweeping election victory, some people are raising a nagging concern: why so few people bothered to vote.
Voters in Alberta stuck with tried-and-true blue, giving the Progressive Conservative party an unprecedented 11th consecutive majority government in Monday's provincial election.
