I'm in a bit of a dilema. I have historically voted PC but I am really struggling with doing that this time. The proposed royalty changes shows that Ed Stelmach does not have a handle on what drives this province and he obviously has received bad advise on the subject. That does not give me the confidence in the party any longer. I would like to vote Wildrose Alliance, but there is no candidate in this riding. My option: stay home and abstain from voting. I don't like doing that but no one else has shown that they are worthy of my vote.

I don't mean to be skeptical, but it seems like the above three comments were written by the same person! The style of writing is similar, the time of the posts are similar, and what are the chances that two different people will use !?! at the end of a sentence! I'm as yet undecided about which party to support, but I sure hope that Mrs. Robertson is not as manipulative as her supporters!

It was good to see all of the candidates at the forum on Wednesday night (20th). Plus a good number of people from the community attended and participated.
However, according to all of the candidates' ads in local newspapers, Patricia Robertson is the only candidate who is making herself available at other times at various venues through out the riding. Interesting!?!

Isn't it interesting to note that Patricia Robertson is the only candidate that openly advertises the time and locations where people in the riding can come out and meet her!?! Isn't it refreshing to have a candidate wanting to meet people?
This is the type of open and honest discussion that needs to take place here and in all of Alberta.

I went to the all-candidates forum last night in Canmore. It was really good to see so many people out and all five candidates fielding questions. I am most impressed with Patricia Robertson who demonstrated that she is knowledgeable about the issues, passionate, articulate, and caring. I like that she has a background in accounting and a demonstrated ability in working with groups and committees to advocate on behalf of those who have been excluded, including persons with disabilities, newcomers, and First Nations people.
Political observers in Alberta are calling it remarkable and opposition politicians are wondering what hit them after Ed Stelmach guided his Conservative party Monday to one of its biggest majorities ever.
As Premier Ed Stelmach and Alberta Conservatives savour their sweeping election victory, some people are raising a nagging concern: why so few people bothered to vote.
Voters in Alberta stuck with tried-and-true blue, giving the Progressive Conservative party an unprecedented 11th consecutive majority government in Monday's provincial election.
