A disappointing landslide

bit the bullet yesterday and voted for the Wildrose Alliance candidate in my area – much to my own surprise.

I I was worried that there were enough of us conservative voters frustrated with the PC government who would either vote for another party, or not vote at all, and that we would weaken the vote enough that an “undesirable” party would get in.

I guess I was wrong. Disappointing, really.

I can’t help thinking, when we vote for a party who is showing a serious lack in integrity, that we are encouraging them to continue blissfully along without any sense of reprimand. I would love to have seen the PC government shaken up over more competitive results.

I find it interesting that someone who is as non-political as I am is so frustrated about the results, and that this apparent victory is leaving such a bitter taste in my mouth.
