About the Host

Donna McElligott's career with the CBC began at CBLT in Toronto and took her all over Canada and around the world. She has been a reporter in Charlottetown, a senior news editor in the Western Arctic and an assignment editor in CBC Radio's National newsroom.

Donna has also covered politics as a legislature reporter at Queen's Park and Parliamentary correspondent in Ottawa.

Over the course of her career, Donna has spent time teaching journalism in Beijing and working in the CBC Radio Moscow bureau, which involved covering stories in Ukraine and Afghanistan.

Since 1994, Donna has made Alberta her home.

She has covered the stories in this province as CBC Radio's national reporter, as co-host of the Calgary Eyeopener morning show and as a frequent host of several Newsworld programs.
