Culturville has returned for 2011 giving more opportunity for your community to win the coveted titles. Plus of course each will receive CBC Radio One programming, CBC regional television programming and online profile on cbc.ca/alberta/cultureville.

To make sure your community has a clear shot at the prize, here is what you need to do:

1. Enter Your Community or Event by submitting your story and up to 3 pictures (minimum 1 photo required).
2. Shoot and mail in a video about your community or event. (maximum of ten minutes in length)
3. Good Luck! You’re well on your way to helping your community become the next Cultureville.

And remember, entries for communities and stories are only accepted until 11:59 pm MT on July 25, 2011.

Your vote counts
The top 6 (3 from 403 and 3 from 780) communities are chosen by an in-house panel, which makes its selection based on community spirit, originality and passion for culture. Once the top six (6) are revealed, Albertians are invited to vote for the one community or event that will take home the CBC Alberta 2011 Cultureville Prize.

The winning community will be unveiled to the public as part of Alberta Arts Day celebrations, no later than September 29, 2011.
