MacBride Museum Opposes City Tax Plan

Officials with MacBride Museum say it can't afford to pay property taxes to the City of Whitehorse. The non-profit society was recently informed that their property tax bill this year would total $3,200. That's just a fraction of its full $26,000 assessment. But until now, the entire amount was forgiven by the city.

Keith Halliday is chair of the MacBride Museum board of directors. Here's what he told city council last night.
