Bus hike turns sour for German group

24BusReduxexterior_web.jpgIt may be the most famous abandoned bus in the world, and it caused some more headaches for Alaska State Troopers recently.

Chris McCandless spent the last few months of his young life living in the bus, located on the Stampede Trail in Denali National Park. His story was documented in the book Into The Wild, and in the film of the same name.

Every year, hikers make the trek into the bus, and sometimes they get into trouble, as was the case with a group of German hikers recently.

Click on the link below to hear Dave speak with state trooper Megan Peters about the recent case, and the future of the bus.
