Sizing up summer on the small screen

BB.jpgBack in the day, summer was a dead zone for television fans, a season filled with re-runs and shows that just couldn't cut it during the fall and winter.

That's all changed, thanks in part to cable.

Some shows now actually run their new episodes in the summer, and they're among the most successful programs on the tube.
