Climate change and the snowshoe hare

hare.jpgThe snowshoe hare may seem to be nothing more than a furry little animal, but they're actually a keystone species, and their health is vital to the stability of the Yukon eco-system.

Which is why new research in Montana that shows snowshoe hares are not managing climate change very well is quite troubling, to say the least.

Charles Krebs is a biologist, and he will be studying the health of the hares here in the Yukon, and their approach to climate change.
