Parents call for ban on hitting in minor hockey

A survey conducted by the Rick Hansen Institute into the risks of contact sports for young people have produced results that will concern fans of old time hockey.

Three out of four hockey parents surveyed say they support a ban on body checking for 11 and 12-year-olds, and two-thirds support a ban for 13 and 14-year-olds.
