Blackbird story rings all to true

The people behind the film Blackbird began working on the story years ago, and even though they've had to revise minor elements of the story, the main themes could have been pulled from the headlines of the latest edition of a newspaper.

The film is being screened in Whitehorse as part of the Available Light Film Festival.
