Report hides wind energy potential from Yukoners
The Yukon Conservation Society says Yukon Energy knows wind energy could replace the use of some fossil fuels in the Yukon, but the public utility has been keeping that information to itself.
Yukon Energy commissioned a report on the wind energy potential of Mt. Sumanik back in 2009, but the report was never made public. The conservation society obtained that report through an access to information request.
