Silicon Valley North? It could happen

The Yukon has relied on its natural resources as the base of its economic for generations, but some people think the territory should diversify, and that the high-tech sector could be a part of that.

Norman Fraser says that idea isn't as far-fetched as you might think.

Fraser is an IT expert based in the U.K. and he's spent the past week in Whitehorse, meeting with government and business officials.

Hockey Day In Whitehorse

The National Hockey League can't get it together, but there's no reason for hockey fans in Whitehorse to be down this weekend.

The Whitehorse Minor Hockey Association has scheduled a full slate of games for December 1, including contests for the Yukon rep teams against visitors from Aldergrove, B.C. and Juneau.

Concussion risk still not taken seriously

Despite years of warnings and studies, and the development of protocals on how to handle players who may have suffered concussions, a new study shows a number of players and coaches don't take that risk seriously.

Dr. Paul Echlin is the lead author of the study and its primary investigator.
