Labour group attacks mine owners

The owners of a large coal mine in northern British Columbia are abusing Canada's temporary foreign workers act, bringing in employees from outside the country while trained miners here are still looking for work, says the Canadian Labour Congress.

Disney adds Star Wars to stable

In a move sure to reverberate in basements around the world, entertainment giant Disney has acquired the Star Wars franchise, wookies and all.

The multi-billion dollar arrangement is being greeted with skepticism by some of the franchise's biggest fans, but film columnist Geoff Pevere thinks their fears may be largely unfounded.
