As if actor George Clooney wasn't getting enough screen time, now he's appearing before U.S. Senate committees and making news by being arrested at protests.

But Clooney's political activism isn't a new phenomenon in Hollywood. In fact, he's just the latest in a line of celebrities to lend their names to various causes.
