Scientist unlocks internal GPS of birds

Researchers have been trying for a long time to figure out how migrating birds are able to travel thousands of kilometres every year, and end up exactly where they want to end up.

According to a new study, part of the answer may be found in a cluster of nerve cells identified in the common pigeon.
