Lawrence Hill researches Alaska Highway story

Lawrence Hill is one of Canada's most accomplished writers, and he's always looking for a good story.

Hill thinks he may have found one in the tales of the African-American soldiers who built the Alaska Highway during the Second World War.

He researched that story during a recent stint as the writer in residence at Berton House in Dawson City.
