Hospital care ends at the front door
A recent incident in Alberta has some people wondering if hospital policy is trumping providing necessary care.
In early December a woman collapsed just outside a hospital in Lethbridge. Passers-by rushed to her aid, and someone entered the hospital looking for staff. Instead of sending out a personnel or equipment, hospital staff called 9-1-1.
Airplay's house doctor Brian Goldman says those staff members were following procedure, and doing anything else could have triggered a series of problems.
